“baby..here” kelly held a cup of coffee out.“nah I’m good” I said sadly.She sat down next to me and wrapped her arm around my arm.
“she’s gonna get through this baby I know” she rubbed my arm. “she’s a fighter”
“yeah” I held back my tears.She laid her head down on my arm.
“I talk to lytrell..she’s gonna be flying in tomorrow” she said.
“yeah” I blinked my tears away.
“have the doctor cam-“
“no” I bit my bottom lip.
“hold on” she got up and walked over to the desk.
“hi how is joyce hawkins doing?” she asked.
“who are you to her?” the lady asked rudely.
“I’m her daughter in law now can you please go and check on her for me please?” kelly said sternly.
“I can’t do that ma’am but you can have a seat” the woman said with a attitude.
“oh I can have a seat?” kelly laughed a little “listen here bitc-“
“chris?” the doctor came out.
“yes” I stood up right away.
“you can see her now” he smiled. “but she can’t move her neck right now or he-“
“why?” I asked. “what’s wrong with her?”
“she can’t feel her neck or…”
I tuned him out after that. I walked back to my chair and sat down. I put my hands on my head as I fought back tears. “why are you doing this to me God? why?” I talked to God in my head. “she doesn’t deserve this yo..”
“chris..” kelly cried as she hugged me. “I’m so sorry”
I couldn’t fight my tears back anymore. I wrapped my arms around her waist and cried on her stomach.
“let it out..” she cried as she rubbed my back.I cried harder.
“they said it can be temporary..they don’t know for sure they have to run some test” she said sadly as she rubbed my head. I stopped crying and took a deep breath. I looked up at her. That’s when I finally noticed her new hairdo.
“I love it..” I smiled a little. She smiled a little and kissed my lips.
“I’m gonna help you get through this I promise..lets go see her” she grabbed my hand. I stood up. We started walking towards the room. I let go of her hand when we got in front of her door.She turned around and looked at me.She grabbed my hand and kissed it.
“you can do it” she smiled. I nodded and she opened the door. She walked in and I followed behind her. Tears formed in my eyes when I saw my mom wearing a neck brace and hooked up to all kinds of machines.She smiled when she saw my face.
“chris..” she whispered.
“yeah ma..” I walked over to her bed and grabbed her hand.
“I can’t feel your hand..” tears ran down her face.I kissed her hand as tears ran down my face.
“I love you and I’m gonna be here with you through everything..so get ready because I’m not going nowhere…even if you get tired of me” I smiled a little.
“I’ll never get tired of you” she smiled.I sat down on the chair.
“do you feel like watching tv mama j?” kelly asked.
“yeah” she said.
“ok lets see” kelly pulled up a chair by the other side of the bed. She grabbed the remote and turned the tv on.”lets see what’s on bet” She turned to bet. “poetic justice! I love this movie..mama j do you like poetic justice?” she looked at ma.
“I love it” she smiled.
“ok poetic justice it is then” She smiled.
“I love your new haircut kelly” ma said. “when I get outta here imma change my hair too”
“I think you would look good with a short blonde cut” kelly smiled.
“blonde me? no” mama tried to laugh but coughed a little.
“take it easy ma..” I rubbed her shoulder.
“ok..” she smiled. “but blonde? me? no”
“yes…I’m telling you you can pull it off” kelly grabbed her other hand. “I can see it now..blonde on top..brown on the bottom..fierce” kelly snapped in a circle then laughed.
“ok if you say so” mama said happily. “you are a beautiful girl and I’m sorry I treated you the way I di-“
“hey forget about that..you just get better ok?” kelly said teary eyed. She stood up and kissed mama on her forehead. “you get better so you can get that new sexy do then bag you a man at the club” she laughed and sat back down. Mama smiled.
“uh uh” I shook my head. “joyce ain’t bagging no niggas when she gets better she’s gonna cook me a good home cooked meal ain’t that right mama?”
“right baby” she said happily. “but after that I’ll go to the club” she winked at kelly Kelly laughed.
“you’re a bad influence on my mama” I pointed to kelly.
“who me?” kelly smirked. “I’m a good girl”
“uh huh” I smirked. “joyce let me find out who he is!”
“oh boy hush” she whispered. “I’m so sleepy..”
“That’s the medicine ma..” I looked at her. I stood up and kissed her on her cheek. “get some rest ma..I’ll be here when you wake up..I love you”
“I love you too..” she whispered before she closed her eyes.
“I’m gonna stay here..you can g-“
“I’m not going anywhere” she looked me in my eyes. “I’ll have bey and keri bring the babies by tomorrow” she looked at mama and smiled. “they’ll make her happy”
I looked at her and smiled. “how did I end up with such a perfect woman?” I thought. “I love you”
“I love you too” she looked at me.
I looked up at the tv. “what you know about this?”
“uh I know everything about it” she laughed. “you don’t know nothing about it”
“what? girl you’re crazy” I rolled my eyes. “this my shit”
“no this is my shit” she laughed.
“that..” I shook my head.
“what?” she gave me a confused look.
“that laugh and that smile..just makes me feel like everything is gonna be ok” I bit my bottom lip.
“it is gonna be ok” she got up and walked over to me. “its gonna be fine” she hugged me. I wrapped my arms around her waist. I laid my head on her stomach.
“and no matter what they ever say about you I’m gonna stay by your side now promise me no matter what they say about me that you’re gonna be here until the end of time..cuz you held me down when nobody was around and gave me all the love I need so give me more..don’t you ever leave because you complete me” kelly sung keyshia cole’s hit song “you complete me”.I kissed her stomach then closed my eyes as she kept singing to me.Her voice started fading as I drifted off into a deep sleep…..
“open your eyes sleepyhead” I opened my eyes when I heard jasmine’s voice.
“what the hell are you doing here?” I looked at her like she was crazy. “where is kelly?”
“she went to the cafeteria or something I don’t know I just got here” she smiled. “I bought mama j some flowers”
“that was nice of you” I said dryly.
“I’m so sorry chris” she said sadly as she touched my shoulder.
“cool” I said dryly as I pushed her hand off.I looked over at mama who was still sleeping.
“I can’t believe kelly left the room..” she shook her head. “I would’ve never left yo-“
“she probably went to the bathroom” I snapped. “look thank you for the flowers but you need to go”
“what?” her mouth flew open.”I’m so close to mama j and you’re gonna kick me out? how dare you”
“no how dare you” kelly walked in the room.
“kelly..hey..cute hair” jasmine said dryly.
“uh huh..my husband” she held her ring finger up. “is going through a tough time right now..he don’t need you making it tougher so” kelly smiled and pointed to the door. “you need to get the hell outta here”
“wow..” jasmine looked at her then looked at me. I turned my head.
“fine..” jasmine kissed mama on her forehead. “I’ll be back later mama j..when somebody is gone” jasmine rolled her eyes.
“mm..I’m not leaving so get used to me being here” kelly crossed her arms and smirked.
“whatever” jasmine whipped her hair then put her shades on. “chris if you need any-“
“get the hell out” I said harshly. She laughed a little then walked past kelly. Kelly closed the door behind her.
“I had to use the bathroom” kelly walked over to me. “how is she doing?”
“I guess good..I just woke up” I said sadly.
“hey mam-“
“hey..” kae walked in the room.Kelly looked at me.
“kae what the he-“
“please chris..” kae cried. “I just had to see her” she walked over to the other side of her bed. “what happened?”
“she got in a car accident” I looked at the bandage on her arm.”what happened to you?”
“oh this” she pointed to her arm. “dog bite..mama j” kae cried on her stomach. “I’m so sorry..we’re gonna catch the monster that did this”
“yeah..” I said sadly.
“ch-” All of a suddenly kelly’s phone went off. “twitter alert” Kelly put it away but then it started really going off. “you know what? I’m just gonna turn it off my fans are being ridicu-” Her mouth dropped as she looked at her phone.
“baby..what’s wrong?” I asked. She covered her mouth as tears ran down her face. She gave me the phone. I looked down at the phone I couldn’t believe my eyes. My mouth dropped as I looked at the pictures of kelly’s mom and matthew knowles kissing.

Before I could finish reading bey’s mother came running in the room.“mama k-” bey’s mama smacked the hell out of kelly.Kelly fell on the floor. I stood up and pushed her gently.

“mama!” bey yelled as she ran in. She looked at kelly then at her mama. “she did not leak those photos she has never seen them! I have never seen them!”

“sue her? for what? for your husband cheating on you? fuck outta here” I snapped before I kissed kelly on the forehead.

“ma stop” bey cried. “kelly would never do that..she would never want her mother’s memory to be tainted like that..somebody else did it..maybe daddy did it”

Before she could say anything else bey’s phone ringed.”its daddy” she picked it up. “Hello..” Bey turned around and looked at kelly. “He wants to talk to you..” she held the phone out. Kelly shook her head and cried on my chest. I rubbed her back.
“I’ll talk to him” I grabbed the phone.”listen come pick your fucking bitch of a wife up and never ever ever ever ever ask to talk to my wife again do you understand me? and if you come near her I swear I won’t be able to control what my hands would do to you you feel me?” I hung up the phone. I gave the phone back to bey.
“beyonce lets go” her mother grabbed her arm.
“no” beyonce yanked her arm away. “I’m staying with my sister” She looked at kelly.
“you know what?imma let you cool down” bey’s ma put her shades on. “then I’ll come get you” She walked out of the room.
“kelly..I’m so sorry” bey cried. Kelly pulled away from me and hugged bey. They cried on each others shoulder as they fell on the floor.I looked over at mama who was crying. I wiped her tears away and kissed her cheek. I looked in her eyes. She looked at kae then at me. I looked over at kae who was smirking. When kae noticed me looking at her she changed her facial expression.
“why was she smirking?I gotta watch her……”
